For this commercial project, I was hired as a freelance motion designer, tasked with creating motion graphics for the Hobart Council’s social media campaign for their partnership with FOGO. based on the two provided storyboards including illustrations for the Hobart Council in Tasmania about implementing a composting bin system in the city.

For this commercial project, I was hired as a freelance motion designer, tasked with creating motion graphics for the Hobart Council’s social media campaign for their partnership with FOGO. based on the two provided storyboards including illustrations for the Hobart Council in Tasmania about implementing a composting bin system in the city.
As one of my very first freelancing projects, working on this piece was both fun and a little overwhelming. As opposed to my other client based projects, which I worked on with other designers as a team, this one was completely solo, making it quite nerve wrecking at the start. However, constant communication with the client reassured me of my skills and freedom of time. This took a lot of pressure off, and instead of stressing, I throughly enjoyed working on the project. I felt confident enough to make tweaks and improvise some aspects of the animation such as animating the arrows within the logo and adding a wink rather than sticking to the provided story board to the T, giving me more creative freedom.
