For a group university assignment, create a fluid ink-style logo animation for Amok's existing brand logo representing its proper brand style.Reflection
This was my first attempt at logo animation, I was not sure how specifically I could achieve a smooth and fluid animation like the client wanted as this particular logo was one big word logo as opposed to separate letters which are easier to animate. However, with lots of experimenting and feedback from the client, the client and I were both satisfied with the result.As for the process, I used Illustrator to re-create the logo as an Adobe Illustrator file to be able to convert it into a functional shape layer. This was because the previous designer was not aware of the limitations of designing a logo on a single procreate layer, should the need to expand upon the brand in the future arise. Then I used masks, twist paths and off-set duplicated layers with varied colours from the brand's colour palette for the logo and trim paths and the Mercury effects and presets for the splash.
